Tread Dry Hiking Shoe
About this project
Getting Down & Dirty
One of our oldest, but still favorite conceptual projects. The goal was to take the idea of gators (large sleeves meant to keep hiking or work boots dry) and replicate the functionality in a light weight cover that would fit a trail running shoe.
This project required exploring various soles, tread patterns, wear and tear, and determining the best way to securely attach a waterproof cover that would prevent squishing and sloshing around of you hit a particularly muddy trail.
